Kali Kimball chosen to present her research at national symposium

Kali Kimball, a computer science major, was selected to participate in the Council on Undergraduate Research's Research Experiences for Undergraduates Symposium, which took place Oct. 22-23, 2017, in Alexandria, Virginia. Kimball also participated in a 10-week REU at Montana State University this summer and is continuing her work in a directed study class this semester. Her research partner is a senior at Georgia Tech.

Their research on Measuring Software Quality: Aggregating from a Security Based Model was selected as the only undergraduate proposal nominated from her program site.

This semester, Kimball's job is to extend the security model they have built by finding software vulnerabilities, classifying them with severities & multiplicities, and then to create a graph that extends the Quamoco Quality Model. Her partner's job is to take her graph and aggregate it to get a value for the quality of the program. Their research advisor's name is Dr. Clemente Izu
