Sarah Kukshtel named one of the first Scholars of Distinction

2015 Dec 1

Two Georgia College students were named the first Scholars of Distinction from a group of four finalists. The program recognizes students for their creation and implementation of impact projects that serve the Baldwin and Milledgeville communities.

Senior Political Science major Abigail (Swaim) Stout partnered with Oak Hill Middle School in Milledgeville to create a student council, which aims to influence students to become leaders and a positive influence among their peers. Graduate student Sarah Kukshtel, who is in the special education degree program, began the first Unified Physical Education program at Baldwin County High School, which was created to help students develop attitudes of leadership that foster respect and acceptance among students of all ability levels.
