GC360, Georgia College's student-run television newscast, has chosen six students to be the newest news, entertainment and sports anchors for the fall 2016 semester.

On Friday, July 22, 2016, the newest Georgia College students and their families will attend New Student Orientation. Orientation is a day-long program that offers new and transfer students the opportunity to establish a link with faculty in their intended major, become familiar with the campus and the array of academic and campus life programs available and "take care of business" to prepare for move-in.

The annual Bobcat Awards took place on April 5. These awards recognize student organizations, student leaders and community partners.

Four student are part of the first class of Call Me MISTER (Mentors Instructing Students Toward Effective Role models) students at Georgia College. The new program aims to increase the pool of available teachers from a broader and more diverse background. Program Director Emmanuel Little says the program is integral to the changing world of education.

This summer GC Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) Student Chapter was invited to MathFest 2015, held in Washington D.C., to present a poster to showcase their activities.

Student's works have been published in "The Peacocks Feet," Georgia College's undergraduate journal for literary and artistic talents.

Two computer science programming teams from Georgia College traveled to the College of Charleston to compete in the southeastern regional programming contest held by the Consortium Computing Science in Colleges.

Five students were selected as this year's Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavors (URACE) Summer Stipend recipients. Students present their posters reflecting on their summer experiences at the URACE Fall 2014 Symposium.

The following students were published in "The Corinthian," Volume 15 during the spring 2014 semester.

The 2014 Georgia College Student Research Conference, held in April, gave students the opportunity to present any scholarly or creative activity ranging from scientific experimentation, to service-learning, literary criticism, case-study design and artistic expression. Students from all disciplines were invited to submit their work to be showcased at the GC Student Research events.

Georgia College students presented their research at the annual American Chemical Society's national meeting. Held in Dallas, the conference focused on chemistry and materials for energy. Several students were also featured in the publication "Chemical & Engineering News" based on their work.
