Senior honored with the Giving Tree Award

The Giving Tree Award, which is given by the GIVE Center each year to only one student, is an honor presented on Earth Day for a student who has left an impact on campus. The GIVE Center plants a tree dedicated to the person, which leaves a lasting legacy. This year, Natalie Flanders has been honored with this award.

The Georgia College Math Club took home the silver medal at this year's Math Jeopardy tournament held at Mercer University March 10 and 11, 2017. The tournament was part of the annual meeting of the Southeastern Section of the Mathematical Association of America. Over 30 teams participated in the tournament.

Students accepted into Honors Program 2016-2017

The Honors Program is designed for intellectually talented and motivated students, who benefit from small sections of core curriculum classes, lunch and dinner seminars, book discussions, and other academic and cultural events. This intellectually challenging and rewarding academic experience allows students to stretch their minds, craft unique records of experience and accomplishment, and achieve their longer-term academic and professional goals. For the program, students must maintain a 3.30 or higher institutional GPA, complete at least 18 hours of Honors course credit to graduate with Honors and remain in good standing with the program and be a member of Eta Sigma Alpha (the Honors Student Association).
