Brian Minter was among the who's who of the tech world as he attended the Apple Worldwide Developer's Conference in San Francisco, California -and it's all due to an app he created last summer.

On Friday, July 15, 2016, the newest Georgia College students and their families will attend New Student Orientation. Orientation is a day-long program that offers new students and transfer students the opportunity to establish a link with faculty in their intended major, become familiar with the campus and the array of academic and campus life programs available and "take care of business" to prepare for move-in.

For her work as an undergraduate and dedication to teaching others, Kendall Brown was recently accepted into the Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship STEM Teaching program. The fellowship includes admission to a master's degree program at a well-established partner university, teacher certification in science, mathematics or technology education, extensive preparation for teaching in a high-needs school for one full year before becoming the teacher and a $30,000 stipend.

Currently, there are approximately 40,000 active student members of Gamma Beta Phi and their numbers and commitment to the Society's ideals continue to grow.

The Giving Tree Award, which is given by the GIVE Center each year to only one student, is an honor presented on Earth Day for a student who has left an impact on campus. The GIVE Center plants a tree dedicated to the person, which leaves a lasting legacy. This year, Anna Agyao has been honored with this award.

Omicron Delta Kappa adds ten new members in Spring of 2016.

Three students are being recognized as Omicron Delta Kappa's Emerging Leaders of 2016. Freshman and sophomores are nominated by faculty, staff or other student leaders for serving as a role model on campus, maintaining good academic standing and making a positive impact on the campus community.

Student's works have been published in 2016 edition of "The Peacocks Feet," Georgia College's undergraduate journal for literary and artistic talents.
